How to Shorten A StickyJ Kids Sport Strap Bracelet
Posted by StickyJ Customer Support Team on 21st Mar 2025
Most of our kids sport strap bracelets are available in two sizes - one that fits wrist sizes 4 to 6" and the other that fits wrist sizes 4" to 8". We also provide a space where extra length can be tucked in. But, sometimes it's helpful to shorten the strap so it fits a little better (and has less excess strap to tuck in). The short video shows how we do it at the factory. After cutting the strap to the desired length, a lighter is applied to the end to clean up any unraveled nylon or polyester strands. Note that this should only be done by an adult, and no more than 3 applications of heat with each lasting about 1 to 1 1/2 seconds. That will reseal the end of the strap so that it won't unravel any further. If you're unsure about the process, you could try shortening the strap just a little on the first try to get the hang of it, then shorten it to the 'desired' length. The 'second try' is usually better than the first.
