Sticky Jewelry is Safe Jewelry: Allergies Beware

Safe Jewelry – no lead, no cadmium, no worries!
Recently, the Center for Environmental Health (CEH) focused the nation’s attention on the presence of cadmium in children’s jewelry, warning parents of the danger associated with a child ingesting the toxic material. The type of metal jewelry that the CEH is referring to is known in the jewelry industry as ‘zinc alloy’ or ‘base metal’. It’s commonly used in very inexpensive fashion jewelry items and poses no risk to adults, but a very small child who might put jewelry in his mouth can ingest any lead or cadmium contained in that jewelry, and that’s what makes it dangerous. All of the children’s medical id bracelets and pendants from Sticky Jewelry are made of 316L surgical stainless steel which is lead-free and cadmium-free. In fact, nearly all of our bracelets, dog tags, and adult medical IDs are made of surgical stainless steel as well!
